Aftercare
Aftercare & Maintenance Guide
Proper aftercare ensures your bespoke jewellery remains secure and beautiful for years to come.
Cleaning
- Gently clean jewellery using warm water, mild soap (dishwashing liquid), and a soft brush
- Avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaners unless advised by GODEZA Jewellery
Wear Considerations
- Rings are particularly susceptible to impact damage and deformation
- Seasonal finger size changes are normal and may affect fit
Inspections & Servicing
- We recommend professional inspection at least once every 12–18 months
- Prongs, settings, and solder joints naturally loosen with wear and may require maintenance
Complimentary Inspections, Cleaning & Insurance Valuations
As part of our ongoing commitment to our clients, GODEZA Jewellery offers complimentary cleaning, inspections, and condition checks for all GODEZA pieces, available by appointment. Regular professional inspections help identify early signs of wear, loose settings, or structural fatigue and significantly reduce the risk of stone loss or damage.
We also provide complimentary insurance valuation certificates for GODEZA Jewellery pieces. These valuations are an important part of responsible ownership and should be reviewed approximately every two years to ensure insured values remain accurate and aligned with current replacement costs.
Valuations for non-GODEZA pieces can be arranged on request and may be subject to fees depending on the complexity of the item or the need for specialised testing or grading.
Clients are encouraged to make use of these services as part of the long-term care of their jewellery.
Repairs & Maintenance
- Only GODEZA Jewellery should carry out repairs or alterations during the warranty period
- Work performed by third parties may void warranty coverage
Adhering to this aftercare guidance significantly reduces the risk of stone loss, damage, or premature wear.
